How to Make Green Tea Lemonade

Matcha green tea lemonade is a magical recipe. Nothing is more refreshing than an iced matcha green tea on a hot day, but throw some lemon and honey into the mix and you’ve got a flavor pairing for the gods. Plus, all the health benefits of matcha green tea, honey and lemons make green tea lemonade the perfect end of summer drink that will keep you from catching that dreaded Back-to-School-Plague .

Green Tea Lemonade Recipe

Our matcha green tea lemonade is a twist on the traditional lemonade recipe, using honey instead of sugar for an added health boost, and adding matcha green tea for some natural caffeine. Refreshing and energizing, green tea lemonade is the perfect lemonade drink that the whole family can enjoy.

Matcha Green Tea Lemonade Ingredients

Green Tea Lemonade Ingredients:

  • 4 Lemons - ½ cup fresh squeezed lemon juice plus half one lemon for garnish

  • 2 Tsp Tenzo Matcha Premium green tea powder

  • 3/4 Cup honey

  • 2 Cups hot water

  • 1 Quart cold water

  • (Optional) Sprigs of mint for garnish

Directions for Green Tea Lemonade:

  1. Juice about 3-4 lemons to produce ½ cup of lemon juice, set aside.

  2. Whisk 2 tsp of Matcha Green Tea with together 4 oz of the hot water to make a matcha concentrate.

  3. Mix the matcha concentrate with the honey and the rest of the hot water in a pitcher until the honey is completely dissolved.

  4. Add the lemon juice and cold water and place in the fridge to chill for 30 minutes.

  5. Serve over ice, garnished with lemon slices and mint.

  6. Enjoy!
