Peppermint Mocha Matcha Latte
The Peppermint Mocha Matcha Has Arrived
December has arrived! We at Tenzo thought our lovely CommuniTea could use a little extra cheer at one of the darkest and coldest times of the year.
In honor of the approaching festivity, we took the classic flavors of a peppermint mocha and applied them to one of your favorites, the matcha almond milk latte
Peppermint Mocha Matcha Latte

1 1/2 cups vanilla almond milk
-
1 teaspoon matcha powder
-
1 teaspoon raw cacao powder
-
1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
-
( optional ) 1 tablespoon brewed espresso
Directions
-
Warm almond milk in a small pot on the stove over medium heat until bubbles just begin to form.
-
Add the warm almond milk, matcha powder and the rest of the ingredients to a blender and blend for 1 minute until combined and frothy.
-
Pour into a mug (the whipping action of the blender should leave foam forming at the top).
-
Top with Matcha Mint Whipped Cream and crushed candy cane pieces. Enjoy immediately!
Matcha Mint Whipped Cream
Creamy and refreshing, this Matcha Mint Whipped Cream makes the perfect topping for a Peppermint Mocha Matcha Latte, or any Matcha beverage for that matter. Honestly, its so good I had trouble keeping myself ( and Robbie, especially Robbie) from just eating it by itself with a spoon.
Make a batch to keep in your fridge, and surprise guests with a dollop the next time they're over around tea time. You can also add Matcha Mint Whipped Cream as a side to your favorite dessert( ice cream sundaes, fresh fruit, etc). Or just eat it with a spoon, we promise we won't judge.
Pro-tip: Chilling your bowl and mixers will make the difference between getting light and airy whipped cream or getting something with a texture closer to butter. We learned this the hard way at Tenzo HQ, so try not to skip this step if you have the time.
