Make a Matcha Cocktail

While the kids are out searching for candy, treat yourself and the other adults in your life to one (or both) of these delicious matcha cocktails. Made with Tenzo Tea's ceremonial matcha powder and fresh ingredients they are an incredibly fun way to load up on antioxidants while you "celebrate". Plus, their mysterious green color makes them perfectly festive. These spooky spirits will stand out at your next Halloween party, but they can be enjoyed on any occasion. 

Matcha Mint Gin Cocktail

You can think of this cocktail as the more sophisticated, better tasting, healthier version of a redbull vodka. It’s light, refreshing and tastes like gourmet mint lemonade. You will hardly taste the alcohol, but you will definitely feel it, and the caffeine from the matcha in this cocktail will keep you in high spirits all night long.

Be warned, this cocktail tastes really delicious and is easy to drink quickly and it WILL sneak up on you. So if you want to stay relatively sober, do your best to sip slowly.

If getting LIT is your Halloween goal then high five, same, slurp it down. 

Ingredients

• ¼ cup fresh mint

• ¾ ounce fresh lemon juice

• ¾ ounce honey

• 2 slices of cucumber (You will need two more slices for  garnish)

• 1½ cups water

• 1 tsp organic matcha powder

• 2½ ounces gin

• Ice 

Directions

1.  Muddle mint, lemon juice, honey, and cucumber in a cocktail shaker.

2. Add gin, water and matcha powder and shake well.

3. Add a few ice cubes and shake again until the matcha powder is fully dissolved and the drink is well chilled.

4. Strain and pour into two ice filled glasses. Garnish with a cucumber slice

5. Enjoy! 

Spiked Coconut Matcha Latte Shots

Spiked Coconut Matcha Latte shots are pure decadence, best served warm. Rich, creamy, buttery and strong, I guarantee that after your first one you'll wish that every latte was this indulgent and could also get you this drunk.   

The base for these shots is heavy cream, (which is essentially butter) so if you are trying to count calories, you may want to try substituting with almond milk.

You also do not want to get heavy handed with the Coconut Ciroc. It has an incredibly strong smell and flavor and can really over power the shots if you use too much.

These shots are great if you don't plan on going all party/clubbing/crazy on Halloween and would rather celebrate casually from home. Enjoy these while snuggling with your loved ones (or your cat), curled up in fuzzy blankets, while you watch your favorite Halloween movie.

Ingredients

•   2 ounces Ciroc Coconut Vodka

•  8 ounces heavy Cream

• 1 ounce honey

• 1 1/2 tsp organic matcha powder

• Juice of half an orange 

Directions

1.  Pour heavy cream into a saucepan and heat on low. 

2.  Using a bamboo whisk, whisk in honey until it is completely dissolved.

3. Add matcha green tea powder and whisk until fully incorporated.

4. Turn off heat and add fresh orange juice and the coconut Ciroc

5. Pour into three small decorative mugs or shot glasses 

6.  Enjoy!
