5 Steps to Living a Vibrant Life
Feel Healthy, Refreshed, & Energized
We all know someone that always seems to be on top of everything. They’re never lagging or tired, they’re always up for a new adventure, and they’re definitely a morning person. They take on every day with vigor and glide through challenges with ease. It’s safe to say that we’re all a little jealous of those people, but what’s stopping you from being one. There isn’t a roadmap or an exact routine that you can follow to enrich your life, but there are certainly some basics that you can cover to set yourself up for success every day.
Hydrate
You’ll Be In Hot Water if You Don’t
We know, we know, you’ve heard it before. The more water you drink, the better you’ll feel. But do you know why this is? Because we’re about 60% water, and our body relies on this water content for pretty much everything. It helps control our internal temperature, flushes out waste, and supports healthy joints to name just a few. It’s suggested that the average person, needs about 3 liters of water a day to keep their body functioning at its peak.
However, it’s important to remember that things like climate, exercise level, and elevation can all change your daily water requirements. If you don’t get enough water, expect headaches, constipation, fatigue, and other health complications. But, the science here is simple. When you drink water, your body feels better. And, when you’re body feels better, so do you.
Self-care
Care To Relax?
Self-care can be many things… It can be enjoying a nice massage or going on a little mini staycation. It can even mean removing yourself from a situation that’s stressful or that no longer serves you. Whatever it is, self-care simply means taking time to focus on nothing but yourself. It’s an important component of maintaining good mental health but is often looked over because it can seem frivolous.
Meditation can even be a form of self-care. If you want to learn a little more about meditation and pick up your own practice, check this out. But, the most important thing to remember is to be patient with yourself. It took monks years and years to achieve a consistently peaceful meditation practice, and they didn’t have a phone to distract them.
If you’re in the middle of a stressful situation, is it really the best thing to hop in a bath with a little matcha latte and take some time for yourself? It just might be. Self-care can give you the escape you need to look at a situation clearly or solve a problem. Or, it can just be you enjoying yourself. If you want to live a more vibrant life, self-care is an important part of that.
Matcha
For A Better Quali-tea of Life
In the quest to live a more vibrant life, there are many roads you can take. However, regardless of which path you follow, you’ll need to make sure that you have a healthy mind and body to support it. And, matcha is a great first step. Especially if you’re swapping out your morning coffee for a morning matcha. Matcha is a super-powered green tea that gives you energy without a crash or anxiety.
And, aside from being a phenomenal coffee replacement, matcha is also a superfood. This means that matcha is good for your mind, body, gut, digestion, and immune system to name a few. For more details about matcha’s health benefits, read this. As an added bonus, if you’re new to mediation, matcha can help improve your mental clarity and focus and make your meditation practice better. Some Tenzo’s have even sent us results from their meditation app before and after trying matcha. Check them out for yourself here.
Sleep
It’s More Than Just Beauty Sleep
A lack of sleep is no joke. And as much as we love the clean green energy of matcha, nothing can replace a good night’s sleep. When your body doesn’t get enough sleep things can take a negative turn. You’ll experience mental fog, your immunity suffers, and you’re more likely to gain weight or get cancer. So, it pretty much goes without saying that sleep is key. The average adult needs 7-9 hours of sleep, to function at their peak, every night.
Disconnecting electronics, placing your phone far away from you, and establishing a nightly routine, are all great ways to ensure that you get a better night’s sleep. But, absolutely nothing is better than just going to bed early. You’ll get more sleep and be able to start your day, well-rested, bright, and early. More and better sleep is essential for living a more vibrant life.
Nature
Return to Your Roots
A Side of Flora & Fauna can be just the thing to Lift You Up. Long ago, humans spent all of their time out in nature. But today, we’re working 9-5s in offices or plopped in front of the couch binging Netflix. If you’re feeling foggy or sluggish or just not yourself, spending time in nature might be just the thing you need to bring a little sparkle back.
And, while there’s nothing wrong with a Netflix binge or working hard at your job, it’s important to take some time and return to your roots. Go on a hike, go for a stroll along the beach, or head to your local park and just soak up some sunshine.
