Today, I’m excited to share a recipe for a Matcha Einspanner Latte—a delightful twist on the traditional Einspanner coffee, which incorporates the rich, earthy flavors of matcha with a creamy, frothy texture. This recipe is perfect for a refreshing afternoon pick-me-up or a cozy morning treat. Let’s dive in!
Ingredients:
- 1.5 tsp matcha powder Tenzo matcha powder
- 2 oz hot water
- 4-6 oz milk
- 2 oz heavy cream
- 1 tsp sugar
- Vanilla syrup
- Ice
Directions:

Prepare the whipped cream by combining 2 oz of heavy cream with 1 tsp of sugar in a bowl and beating until it reaches soft peaks and becomes thick and creamy, adjusting the sugar to taste if desired, then set aside.

Prepare the matcha by combining 1.5 tsp of matcha powder with 2 oz of hot water (just under 175°F or 80°C) in a small bowl and whisking briskly until fully dissolved and frothy.

Assemble your iced Matcha Einspanner Latte by filling a glass with ice, adding a splash of vanilla syrup, pouring in 4-6 oz of milk, adding the matcha mixture, and topping with the whipped cream, or for a hot version, heat the milk, add it to the matcha mixture in a mug, and top with whipped cream.

For an extra touch, sprinkle a little more matcha powder on top of the whipped cream to enhance the visual appeal and add an extra layer of matcha flavor.
